Album · 2022
hypochondriac
Album two, and the first one he made after signing to Columbia. It came out of the lockdown years and it sounds like it, basically an album about health anxiety and being way too online. It’s a lot more polished than punk2 and somehow even more anxious.
Most of his biggest songs are on here, and for almost four years it was the last brakence album we had.

Fan notes
- The rollout was long. argyle dropped in October 2021, more than a year before the album, then cbd, venus fly trap, caffeine and finally bugging! two weeks before release.
- Wyatt Otis co-produced teeth, intellectual greed and stung. Wyatt is on 15 of the 18 marroW songs too, so that partnership goes way back.
- gabby start co-wrote caffeine, and then opened the 2023 tour.
- His first headline tour started in Cleveland on 26 November 2022 and ended in Brooklyn on 20 December, with Jane Remover opening. Then came the Hypochondriac (is Still on) Tour in 2023, and a European run in January 2024 that usually counts as its European leg.
- The CD finally came out in December 2023, a year after the album.
- Three of his five most played songs on Spotify are from this album: deepfake, venus fly trap and 5g.
